David Adam Realty, Inc. (DAR) is a full-service commercial real estate firm offering brokerage, investment, development, property management, and construction management services. We specialize in retail, office, industrial, and multifamily assets, with a particular focus on high-street retail positioning, mixed-use development, and the adaptive reuse of historic buildings. Over thirty years of direct market experience has shaped how we approach every project, whether we are sourcing opportunities, structuring deals, or guiding properties through repositioning.

DAR is built and focused on a local approach to our business, with a concentration in southern Connecticut while maintaining an active presence across the broader Northeast. That deep knowledge of how local markets work, what drives them, and what tenants and investors need lets us provide clients with the analysis and insight necessary to navigate today's commercial real estate market successfully.

Our History

David Adam Realty was founded in 1991 by David A. Waldman, who spent the 1990s building DAR into a trusted local specialist in lower Fairfield County. In 2000, Waldman brought on Sharon Maddern as Managing Director of Brokerage. Her addition marked DAR's evolution into one of Fairfield County's leading boutique brokerage firms. John Greenspan joined in 2013, bringing extensive institutional investment management experience to lead DAR's investment and asset management functions. Adan Zeiberg joined DAR in 2026 handling landlord representation for DAR’s retail portfolio.

DAR’s property management portfolio includes over twenty properties valued in excess of $400 million on behalf of affiliated ownership entities and third-party owners. 

DAR actively sponsors real estate investments, acquiring underperforming properties and creating value through leasing, repositioning, redevelopment, and strategic partnerships. Bedford Square, Bankside House, Sconset Square, 87 Post Road East, and 101–107 Post Road East in Westport, Connecticut, exemplify this approach. DAR also acquires stabilized, income-producing properties in competitive markets for third-party clients seeking long-term investments.
